The Bartolotta Restaurants, a renowned dining and catering establishment co-founded by acclaimed restaurateur Joe Bartolotta and two-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Paul Bartolotta, is seeking a dedicated Café Supervisor. Position Summary:

The Café Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our grab-and-go café. This position is ideal for an individual who possesses a strong passion for food quality, sanitation, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a robust work ethic and the ability to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the café.
  • Communicate effectively with management to ensure objectives are met and customer satisfaction is prioritized.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Continuously assess operations to identify issues and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the café meets or exceeds standards for food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Manage food, beverage, and labor costs, including budgeting and profit and loss statements.
  • Conduct weekly inventory and manage product ordering.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales revenues and expenses on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Able to foster relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a fast-casual dining environment.
  • Preferred background in food and beverage operations.
  • Familiarity with cashier software is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is:

  • Regularly required to communicate, perform repetitive motions, type, and listen.
  • Capable of interacting with staff and customers in a professional manner.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
  • Able to read and write clearly.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Available to work during days, weekends, and holidays.
