POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Café Manager is responsible for guiding the team to create an exceptional experience for both customers and colleagues, in alignment with Colectivo Coffee's Mission and Values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve positive financial outcomes for the café in line with the established budget.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and ongoing enhancement that complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes.
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure they excel in their roles and contribute to high performance.
  • Assign specific tasks using the Café Functional Architecture Model.
  • Guarantee that the café's coffee, food, and administrative operations deliver an outstanding customer experience through Colectivo's offerings.
  • Exemplify leadership by maintaining an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff.
  • Engage in the long-term strategic planning for the café's success.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A college degree in a business-related discipline and/or a minimum of two years of experience in a management or supervisory role.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in POS systems and computer applications.
  • Basic mathematical skills for business operations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to transfer to another café within the market as needed by the organization.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per week.
