About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Multi Asset and Hedge Fund Solutions (MA HFS) Risk Management and Associate Portfolio Management Teams as a Hybrid Associate Portfolio Manager / Risk Control Officer. This role will be based in Nashville, TN and will work closely with our Investment Teams, Trading, and Operations departments to ensure the smooth implementation of portfolio strategies and the effective management of operational risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Implementation: Implement investment decisions for separately managed accounts and funds, monitor portfolio positioning, trade executions, cash management, and compliance with client guidelines.
  • Error Management and Operational Excellence: Partner with portfolio managers, associate portfolio managers, and MAS Trading to cover market exposure due to trading or client account errors, coordinate calls between interested parties to conduct root cause analysis of material breaches in procedure, and escalate and notify senior management.
  • Operational Risk Management: Support the Risk Manager in error trend analysis and other operational risk projects, collaborate with firm-wide error coordinators to share best practices, lead projects to facilitate the implementation of risk mitigations, and participate in various working groups and forums focused on managing operational risk.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2-5 years relevant work experience, preferably with operational risk or process management
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, highly analytical with a strong attention to detail, superior communication and interpersonal skills, self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in groups, team player who is able to work in a global team, intermediate level understanding of the financial markets, knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis, and basic coding skills in technologies such as Python and SQL
