Team Collaboration:

The Fixed Income Associate Portfolio Managers (APM) play a crucial role in assisting our global Portfolio Management teams by ensuring precise and effective execution of portfolio strategies. They engage with various asset classes and collaborate closely with diverse teams within AllianceBernstein, including investment management, operations, technology, sales, and trading. An APM is expected to have a keen interest in financial markets and will cultivate a comprehensive understanding of our offerings, operational protocols, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Municipal (Muni) team, the APM is tasked with guaranteeing the smooth execution of fixed income transactions, which involves ensuring adherence to compliance standards and:

  • Continuously monitoring portfolios to verify compliance with guidelines, accuracy of portfolio and security data, and conducting performance reporting and analysis for various requests.
  • Facilitating the successful opening and closing of accounts while coordinating with sales and portfolio management to address client inquiries.
  • Identifying potential enhancements and collaborating with technology teams to streamline and automate processes, thereby boosting operational efficiency, improving client service, and strengthening risk management.
  • Providing essential support to Portfolio Managers, Sales, Trading, and Operations to meet client expectations.

We seek individuals with exceptional attention to detail, combined with a proven capacity to think critically and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment, often under tight deadlines and across multiple tasks.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated individual with a strong inclination towards process enhancement and utilizing technology to address complex business challenges.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in financial markets, particularly in asset management.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Thorough understanding of risk management and the overall control framework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including adaptability and creativity.
