Job Responsibilities

As an ESS Sales Director, you will be responsible for:

  1. Building a Functional Team

Develop and lead a specialized marketing and sales team that interacts with technical personnel internally and externally.

Developing Best Practices

Implement best practices for small to large BESS projects for all product lines, including residential, commercial, industrial, utility scale, and UPS.

Domain Expertise

Act as a domain expert on BESS, cooperate with parent ESS related parties, review and challenge financial considerations, and approve the optimal solution for projects.

Metrics and Targets

Develop metrics and targets for achieving continuous improvement in project delivery.

Tracking Progress

Establish methods for tracking construction progress, acquisition opportunities, new market identification, and presenting the report status to our global team.

Industry Conferences

Participate in industry conferences, networking committees, and maintain close connection to trends in the competitive market.

Vendor Relationships

Develop relationships with key technology vendors in the battery energy storage related industry with procurement, construction, and EPC.

Negotiations

Negotiate contracts with key customers, partners, vendors, consultants, installation subcontractors to leverage and scale Gotion's ESS competitive position in the world.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Business Development Experience

5+ years of experience in business development.

Education

BA in Finance, Marketing, or other related field (MBA preferred).

Energy Sector Experience

2+ years in the energy sector, specifically ESS.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication and networking skills.

Startup Experience

Experience working in a startup or similar environment.

Global Experience

Global experience and an understanding of multicultural nuances that drive the decision-making process.

Location

Base in South America and Fremont office, CA.

Compensation

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.

Expected Pay Range

$130,000 — $180,000 USD.
