Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Omni Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food production outlets and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Staff Training: Provide comprehensive training and mentoring to our kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the daily requisition of food and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our culinary needs.
  • Sanitation and Organization: Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and organization in our kitchen facilities and equipment, ensuring that we meet all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order, and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Food Safety: Monitor and maintain the safety of our food products, ensuring that they are stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with our food safety policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate our kitchen team, ensuring that they are working together effectively to achieve our culinary goals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with our front-of-house team, ensuring that we are providing excellent service to our guests.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Certifications: Hold a valid ServSafe certification and have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders.
