Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the seamless execution of culinary operations across all dining venues, with a primary focus on maintaining high standards in food quality and kitchen organization.
  • Collaborate with Sous Chefs to develop and implement plans for special events, ensuring all service needs are met.
  • Work closely with restaurant chefs to guarantee the successful execution of menu items and facilitate training for seasonal menu changes.
  • Partner with Conference Services to create tailored menus for special occasions.
  • Assume full responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring all standards are upheld.
  • Assist in cost management and menu planning alongside the Executive Chef.
  • Manage weekly scheduling for kitchen staff, approving time-off requests while minimizing overtime.
  • Coordinate with various kitchen departments to ensure timely and efficient food production.
  • Engage with Front of House leadership to foster a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Oversee food delivery logistics in collaboration with Stewarding and Warehouse teams.
  • Act as a resource for guests with dietary restrictions, coordinating special meal preparations as necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and equipment functionality in partnership with the Executive Steward and Engineering teams.
  • Support the Executive Chef in staff recruitment and training initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer service and guest engagement.
  • Ability to showcase culinary trends and demonstrate creativity in menu development.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective time management abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of kitchen management experience, with a focus on team leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and decision-making capabilities in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, typically 8-10 hours.
  • Valid ServSafe certification.
