Position: Process Improvement Business Execution Manager


Employment Type: Full Time Classification: Exempt

  • The Process Improvement Business Execution Manager is responsible for spearheading and implementing process enhancement initiatives utilizing the PDSA methodology, while also fostering collaboration across all plants to disseminate knowledge and best practices.
  • This role is pivotal in executing strategies that ensure focus and alignment on essential improvement projects.
  • Engagement of all team members in process improvement endeavors is a key responsibility of the Process Improvement Manager.
  • This will be achieved through relationship building, imparting process improvement skills and tools, leading teams, and recognizing achievements.
  • The ideal candidate will exhibit ownership and accountability, possess a strong understanding of production processes, have a genuine desire to mentor others, and demonstrate expertise in continuous process improvement methodologies, particularly through Six Sigma.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Plant Manager with a secondary reporting line to the Director of Business Execution.


Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, interpret findings, and implement changes, often necessitating advanced mathematical skills.
  • Familiarity with plant safety and quality standards.
  • Thorough understanding of production operations.
  • Exceptional team leadership and facilitation capabilities.
  • Proficient in Minitab, Business Objects, Visio, and web-based applications specific to the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years in a project management capacity, showcasing excellence in organizational and project management skills.
  • Relevant educational background or job-related experience suitable for the role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, quality, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred, with completion of Black Belt Training and Certification Test.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of Deming and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC and DFSS).
  • Familiarity with statistical methods (SPC, ANOVA, Hypothesis Testing, etc.) and statistical software (WinSPC, Minitab, Business Objects, etc.).
