Position Summary

  • The selected candidate will collaborate with Operations to assess, analyze, and enhance workforce efficiency and operational processes.
  • A strong analytical mindset is essential for problem-solving and developing cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilization of lean manufacturing principles is expected.
  • All project tasks must be completed within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities will be employed to foster operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propose, implement, and validate process enhancements across all methods, processes, and equipment to create a more modern, efficient, and cost-effective production environment.
  • Prepare project system layouts, including detailed specifications, drawings, process flow diagrams, and schematics.
  • Design, direct, and manage comprehensive engineering projects, covering project initiation, cost and ROI analysis, DMAIC methodology, and experimental design.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise across all production areas.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assess the feasibility of capital equipment procurement, installation, and integration.
  • Ensure safe operational plant systems and maintain an accident-free workplace while adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at process optimization to meet specific business needs and eliminate waste in assembly operations.
  • Support Production Engineering projects and initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and customer satisfaction improvement.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to develop best practice solutions.
  • Utilize a diverse range of Industrial Engineering, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to implement process improvements.
  • Conduct Time Studies to analyze processes and performance metrics.
  • Document processes through process mapping and value stream mapping techniques.
  • Educate the workforce on lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with automated manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Skilled in drafting work instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Adobe applications and 3D CAD software (Solidworks) is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime and weekend work as necessary.
  • No relocation assistance is provided; candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense.
