Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting, financial systems, policies, procedures, and accurate and timely accounting records.
  • Protect Company assets by helping establish, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for closing the books monthly in a timely manner.
  • Manage the relationship with outside professionals for financial statements and tax filings.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience with a minimum of two years as Accounting Manager or Supervisor.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and controls environment.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • BS or MS in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Quickbooks, and Bamboo payroll preferred.
  • CMA or CPA preferred.
