Edison Welding Institute is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the accounting department, including supervision of staff and management of departmental functions.
  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with internal controls, government regulations, and company standards.
  • Manage the monthly and year-end close process, including preparation of financial statements and review of reconciliations.
  • Assist with external audit and ensure compliance with requirements for annual financial audit, single audit, and 401(k) audit.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud or errors.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, including GL, U.S. GAAP, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficient with ERP software platforms and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
