Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Supervisor of Accounts Receivable within our Revenue Accounting department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of A&F Co.'s revenue streams, including Wholesale, Licensing, and Franchise.
  • Manage a team of accounts receivable clerks responsible for generating customer invoices and collecting payments.
  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of a high volume of invoices issued weekly.
  • Utilize Oracle PeopleSoft AR/BI and GL modules for invoicing, payment application, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices within 24 hours of merchandise shipment.
  • Align reported revenue with invoices and payments received.
  • Proactively manage outstanding receivables while fostering positive customer relationships.
  • Assist in data analysis and reporting to support management decisions.
  • Deliver accurate financial metrics and dashboard reporting, including aging of receivables.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoicing promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with business operations to provide optimal support.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs, ensuring financial considerations are integrated into solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Accounts Receivable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Work with the PeopleSoft IT team to customize invoices according to customer contract terms.
  • Support Treasury with cash flow projections and related requirements.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts for receivables.
  • Implement technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency and manage working capital effectively.
  • Monitor payment schedules and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with payment terms.
  • Establish and maintain efficient operational procedures across the team.
  • Build and nurture effective relationships with internal teams, including Business Development and Treasury.
  • Provide exceptional support across functions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Set and communicate performance standards for both individual and team achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a dynamic environment, preferably with international exposure.
  • Familiarity with invoicing, collections, and financial management systems, particularly PeopleSoft.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead an effective team.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and organizational capabilities focused on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and adapting to a rapidly changing business landscape.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred but not mandatory.
