About the Role

The Territory Business Development Manager with our Heavy Truck division creates business relationships, increases incremental revenue, and retains business with CDK clients through face-to-face sales activities. Increases incremental revenue CDK clients and grow new market share through conquest sales. The focus will be on the network security benefits of our systems. Works in conjunction with channel partners to increase sales opportunities in CDK Strategic Products to grow CDK's share of wallet in existing client base and in new business opportunities. Achieves annual assigned sales plan, working under guidance of Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set Clear Sales Goals: Set clear, measurable performance goals to achieve a sales quota, including identifying new opportunities with existing customers, increasing market share through conquest sales, and generating significant revenue and profit growth utilizing a disciplined and process-oriented approach.
  • Develop Sales Plan: Develop an overall sales plan and forecast short and long-term sales results.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of specific CDK products and their functionality.
  • Internal Collaboration: Interface and work with internal teams through the sales and implementation process.
  • Market Awareness: Understand industry segment and keep abreast of competitor developments in the market and/or territory.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of B2B outside sales experience; non-transactional sales required.
  • Skills: Experience growing market share through conquest sales and upselling to existing clients, targeting and penetrating key prospects, influencing decision makers, building and maintaining client relationships, using consultative solution selling, negotiating and closing opportunities, managing a complex sales process, and providing customer support.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 85% or more, weekly overnight travel expected.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $85K + Uncapped Commissions + Benefits.
