As a Press Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in our production process, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our automatic press machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate large or small press machines, such as Komatsu, Maypress, Seyi, Bliss, Denison, and similar/accessory equipment, to produce machined parts according to blueprints, router package specifications, and/or special instructions.
- Understand and use drawings, manuals, and work instructions to validate dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and requirements.
- Start and observe on-going machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications.
- Follow established machine settings and first article trials to ensure conformity with process specifications.
- Inspect parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
- Work within established feed and speed combinations to meet performance standards.
- Record the piece count and run time of the production times.
- Verify dimensions and alignment of assemblies.
- Recognize minor machine malfunctioning or cutting action of tools, and report major discrepancies to lead or supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Working experience of manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 0-3 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and high performance experience.
