The Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department within North America. This position involves close collaboration with the Director of Finance, Finance Manager, and the shared service center.
Note:
This position requires in-office attendance three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end closing process, focusing on analytics for accruals and expense reclassification to ensure precise monthly financial outcomes in accordance with local regulations and U.S. GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis by tracking and evaluating transactions to compare actual performance against budget and forecasts.
- Prepare and maintain monthly reports that include key performance indicators (KPIs) for Sales, Margin, and Operating Expenses.
- Organize and summarize contracts while monitoring compliance and performance metrics.
- Aid in the preparation of forecasts and budget submissions, including the upload process into the company’s financial system (HFM).
- Support ad-hoc financial data collection, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Establish and utilize company databases to extract relevant information for analysis or reporting purposes.
- Research and compile information for ad-hoc projects, summarizing findings effectively.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement, development, modification, and implementation of financial systems as needed, including learning and utilizing EBS tools.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration is highly preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A; experience in manufacturing or medical devices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Familiarity with HFM, Tableau, and Oracle is preferred.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong intellectual curiosity and commitment to follow through.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and resolution.
- Ability to interpret documents and summarize information effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, including the capacity for quantitative analysis.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet various deadlines.
- Change management oriented, embracing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and all organizational levels.
Compensation
The compensation package for this role may include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans. The salary range for this position is $70,400 - $79,600.
