Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Karman Space & Defense. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and administering contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain contract administration procedures and policies to support the Quality Policy and customer satisfaction.
  • Compare quotes to new contracts and generate job numbers for release to manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain bid files, electronic and physical, and manage bid logs to support proposal writing and submittals.
  • Administer contracts, including sales order entries, building job files, and distributing sales order packages to respective departments.
  • Create spreadsheets, formulate effective charts, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite related to production control.
  • Coordinate client meetings, maintain calendars, orientations, teleconferences, catering, and travel.
  • Issue travel and make travel arrangements, and expense reports.
  • Organize high volumes of electronic and physical file folders.
Requirements
  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent in work experience.
  • Five (4) + years experience in contract review practices.
  • Five (4) + years experience in generating and maintaining account receivable reports.
  • Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with customers and staff.
  • Must be assertive, direct, and have excellent people skills.
  • Must have direct communication with internal customers.
  • Must be able to receive formal training of changes and customer requirements.
  • Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping, and follow instructions.
