Position Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Real Estate Cost Management division. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to our diverse clientele, including developers, manufacturers, retail, healthcare, and technology sectors.

The successful candidate will be proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. This influential role involves providing strategic leadership and fostering the core values and vision of Turner & Townsend.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on-site or in-office; remote work options may be considered based on performance and client needs.
  • Oversee comprehensive service delivery from inception to completion.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring alignment with client goals through effective cost management services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of market dynamics, acting as a brand representative and generating new business opportunities.
  • Enhance relationships with existing clients while pursuing new partnerships.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals for prospective projects.
  • Manage a cost management team, ensuring high-quality deliverables for client satisfaction.
  • Oversee financial management of commissions and projects.
  • Establish clear objectives and strategies for team growth.
  • Identify and nurture talent within the team, celebrating achievements and fostering professional development.
  • Exemplify leadership excellence and commitment to service delivery.
  • Promote a unified company culture that balances the interests of employees, clients, stakeholders, and the community.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all individuals.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in the construction sector with a solid grasp of cost consultancy roles.
  • Degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
  • RICS or equivalent accreditation is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Determination and ambition to add value and devise innovative solutions.
  • Aptitude for building effective working relationships with project teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Additional Information:

The salary range for this full-time position is $110K-$150K annually. This range reflects base salary only and may vary based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
