Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior MEP Estimator who can effectively meet client objectives through comprehensive cost management services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mechanical and/or electrical estimates and providing cost consulting for a diverse range of large-scale construction programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present detailed cost plans, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct estimates at various stages, including conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and prepare procurement documentation.
  • Oversee all procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contract documentation.
  • Engage in post-contract cost variance management and change control processes.
  • Conduct cost checks and valuations on significant projects, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Generate monthly post-contract cost reports for client presentations.
  • Contribute to value engineering initiatives and negotiate final accounts.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cost management team as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report findings to management.
  • Propose enhancements to cost management procedures and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems within the construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cost management processes, including pre-contract and post-contract phases.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and managing team members.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procurement methods.
  • Experience advising clients on value management and lifecycle costing.
  • Broad knowledge gained across various industry sectors.
Additional Information:

The salary range for this full-time position is $140K-$165K per year, reflecting the role's responsibilities and the candidate's qualifications. Please note that this range pertains to base salary only and does not encompass the total compensation package.
