Position Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality therapy services to our community. This full-time position involves collaborating with a Registered Physical Therapist to implement tailored treatment plans.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of treatment programs for residents.
  • Document observations of resident behavior and progress in Progress Notes.
  • Maintain accurate statistical records and departmental reports as requested.
  • Support in-service training programs as needed.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and sanitation of therapy equipment.
  • Adhere to punctuality and attendance standards.
  • Utilize the electronic timekeeping system effectively.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
  • Follow the facility's dress code, including wearing a name tag.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • Valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

This position requires regular interaction with residents, colleagues, and supervisors, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
