Job Summary

Barton & Loguidice is seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Document Daily Construction Activities: Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, identify potential issues, and document daily activities.
  • Prepare Daily and Weekly Reports: Compile and submit detailed reports on construction progress, including daily diaries and weekly progress reports.
  • Measure and Record Quantities: Accurately measure and record quantities of materials used and work performed to ensure accurate payment requests.
  • Assist with Payment Requests: Collaborate with the project team to prepare and submit payment requests to the client.
  • Review Claims and Change Orders: Review and analyze claims for extra work and change order costs to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate Utilities and Services: Assist in coordinating utilities and services with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Interpret Contract Plans and Specifications: Review and interpret contract plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with the project team, owners, contractors, and government agencies to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Site Construction Inspection/Management Experience: Proven experience in site construction inspection and management, including preparation of daily field reports and interaction with project stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver's License and Own Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation to job sites.
  • Physical Ability to Negotiate Construction Sites: Must be physically able to safely navigate construction sites and facilities.
  • Geosynthetic Materials and Soil Installation Experience: Required experience in geosynthetic materials and soil installation.
  • Certification as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector: Preferred but required certification from GRI as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector.
Estimated Pay Range

$33-45/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
