Barton & Loguidice is seeking a highly experienced Seasonal Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Document Daily Construction Activities: Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, identify potential issues, and document daily activities.
- Prepare Daily and Weekly Reports: Compile and submit detailed reports on construction progress, including daily diaries and weekly progress reports.
- Measure and Track Quantities: Accurately measure and track quantities of materials used and work performed to ensure accurate payment requests.
- Review Claims and Payment Requests: Review contractor claims for extra work and change order costs, and assist in the preparation of monthly payment requests.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Interpret Contract Plans and Specifications: Review and interpret contract plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- 10+ Years of Site Construction Inspection/Management Experience: Proven experience in site construction inspection and management, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
- Preparation of Daily Field Reports: Ability to prepare accurate and detailed daily field reports, including measurements and observations.
- Quantities and Payment Tracking: Experience in tracking quantities for payment and interacting with project stakeholders.
- Valid Driver's License and Transportation: Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Physical Ability to Negotiate Construction Sites: Ability to safely navigate construction sites and facilities.
- Geosynthetic Materials and Soil Installation Experience: Experience in geosynthetic materials and soil installation, including certification from GRI as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector.
$33-45/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
