Responsibilities
The Branch Development Manager plays a pivotal role in executing strategic business development initiatives aimed at enhancing branch growth and profitability. This position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to attract and retain customers while fostering ongoing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
This leader will exemplify community involvement, customer service excellence, and proactive outreach efforts, overseeing the execution of the Bank's strategies to meet annual objectives related to Loan Growth, Deposit Growth, Financial Services, Credit Administration, and Business Development. As the branch manager, this role ensures compliance with operational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business growth strategies, focusing on promoting the Bank's products and services to enhance deposit growth.
- Engage actively with the community to maintain a positive and professional presence for the Bank.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Evaluate and make decisions on loan applications within the designated lending authority.
- Oversee a loan portfolio that includes consumer and/or business clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of bank policies, procedures, and loan products to effectively educate prospects on the benefits of Community Bank.
- Collaborate with Bank business partners to identify and refer potential loan opportunities.
- Lead the recruitment and selection of new branch staff and ensure adequate scheduling for branch operations.
- Train staff to meet customer service and sales objectives effectively.
- Regularly review individual sales and service performance with supervisors to ensure alignment with goals.
- Monitor branch performance throughout the year, collaborating with District and Regional Managers to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining adherence to internal policies and training requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in financial services is advantageous. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and sales abilities.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in computer applications.

- A minimum of six years in sales or business development, including three years in banking or lending roles is preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience is required.
