Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a certified healthcare professional who delivers nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or healthcare provider. The LPN plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the practice by managing clinical tasks and providing patient care.

The LPN collaborates with all team members to assist patients and promote successful interactions within the practice environment. This role embodies and promotes the mission and objectives of the practice both internally and within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
  • Current Basic Life Support certification

Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of documentation standards
  • Proficiency in using medical equipment, supplies, and materials
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate strong cooperation skills
  • Skill in interpreting and following written and verbal medical orders
  • Capability to initiate appropriate emergency procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in a physician's office is preferred

Compensation Range:
$18.50 - $30.00 based on experience
