Job Summary

Barton & Loguidice is seeking a highly experienced Seasonal Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Document Daily Construction Activities: Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, identify potential issues, and document daily activities.
  • Prepare Daily and Weekly Reports: Compile and submit detailed reports on construction progress, including daily diaries and weekly progress reports.
  • Measure and Track Quantities: Accurately measure and track quantities of materials used and work performed to ensure accurate payment requests.
  • Review Claims and Payment Requests: Review contractor claims for extra work and change order costs, and assist in the preparation of monthly payment requests.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Interpret Contract Plans and Specifications: Review and interpret contract plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Site Construction Inspection/Management Experience: Proven experience in site construction inspection and management, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
  • Preparation of Daily Field Reports: Ability to prepare accurate and detailed daily field reports, including documentation of construction progress and issues.
  • Quantities and Payment Tracking: Experience in tracking quantities of materials used and work performed, and preparing accurate payment requests.
  • Valid Driver's License and Transportation: Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Physical Ability to Negotiate Construction Sites: Ability to safely navigate construction sites and facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety and risk management.
  • Geosynthetic Materials and Soil Installation Experience: Proven experience in geosynthetic materials and soil installation, with a strong understanding of related construction processes.
  • Certification as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector: Certification from GRI as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector is preferred but required.
Estimated Pay Range

$33-45/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
