About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Womens department at Selfridges & Co. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction in the Womens department.
- Lead and manage a team of sales associates to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including visual merchandising, buying, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and effective retail strategy.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement plans to improve stock levels, reduce stock loss, and optimize inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, trading standards, and store operating procedures.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with concession partners and other stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a department store environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, stock loss prevention, and visual merchandising.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
