FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Goal:
  • To ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for all students and staff.
Qualifications:
  1. Possess and maintain relevant certifications in facility management.
  2. Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment under applicable regulations.
  3. Demonstrate competence in assigned responsibilities.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  6. Ability to exert physical effort as required.
  7. Physical ability to perform all duties as specified by state and federal regulations.
  8. Ability to maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  1. Ensures compliance with all current State and federal regulations regarding facility safety and maintenance.
  2. Adheres to all Board regulations and policies.
  3. Conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
  4. Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
  5. Reports maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Demonstrates behavior that promotes safety as a primary responsibility.
  7. Maintains cooperative relationships with students, parents, community members, and other employees.
  8. Attends scheduled trainings and professional development.
  9. Performs duties in a courteous and professional manner.
  10. Maintains confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
  11. Identifies potential problems and opportunities for improvement in areas of responsibility.
  12. Responds to inquiries and concerns in a timely and positive manner.
  13. Maintains and submits reports, records, and correspondence accurately.
  14. Properly uses and cares for tools, equipment, and materials.
  15. Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, and regulations.
  16. Reports absences and takes leave in accordance with Board policies.
  17. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Terms of Employment: Regular employee contract with attention to facility management requirements; salary based on Board approved salary schedule.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the State Department of Education and/or applicable Board policies on evaluation of classified personnel.
