Position Overview

Under general supervision, this role involves researching, designing, developing, and implementing technologies for safeguarding computer networks and protecting company information and network systems/applications. The position requires the development, implementation, and maintenance of intricate network and firewall security strategies and configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts security evaluations and assesses emerging technologies.
  • Offers security analysis and support for complex systems, focusing on monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, reporting, implementing, installing, and upgrading core infrastructure hardware and software.
  • Provides advanced technical guidance, consulting, and support to team members on security-related tasks. Suggests appropriate measures to enhance project security and devises new monitoring strategies for intricate securing systems.
  • Collaborates with other Battelle teams to design, implement, install, and upgrade secure systems.
  • Engages with external vendors as necessary to address complex issues or bugs.
  • Serves as a vital member of the security or compliance team by offering monitoring, investigation, and ongoing support to maintain a high level of secure system availability.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, with five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
