Overview:
As a key player in our Front Office team, you will assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to corporate policies while achieving financial objectives. Your role will involve managing guest interactions efficiently and with a welcoming demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate smooth guest registration, checkout, and service, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Implement and uphold company and franchise initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing forecasts and reports, contributing to the Rooms Division budget development.
  • Maintain optimal performance of front office systems and equipment.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and enhance the use of feedback systems.
  • Provide training and support for new associates and supervisors.
  • Establish and enforce expense management controls.
  • Utilize labor management tools for effective scheduling and cost control.
  • Conduct interviews, training, and performance evaluations for staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide clear guidance.
  • Engage positively with guests to resolve issues and ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure compliance with front office procedures and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing room inventory to optimize revenue while meeting guest expectations.
  • Maintain front desk equipment and manage supply inventory.
  • Address customer complaints proactively and monitor operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for improving occupancy and revenue.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in front desk operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous hotel experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in property management systems and computer applications.
  • Knowledge of brand loyalty programs is advantageous.
  • Able to manage cash and credit transactions effectively.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong communication skills with guests.
  • Comprehensive understanding of front office operations.
  • Ability to handle diverse customer interactions with patience and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • General knowledge of local attractions and transportation options.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  • Capable of fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Remain composed during busy periods and serve as a role model for others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
