Job Overview

As the Quality Assurance Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and execution of Quality Management System processes and associated documentation throughout our operations.

Quality Department Responsibilities

  • Engage consistently with Frontline Leaders, Quality, and Production Teams to collaborate on process enhancements, documentation, and performance metrics.
  • Drive and execute operational strategies (Corporate Quality Roadmap) and action plans to align with the strategic goals of Warren Oil Company.
  • Oversee our Internal Corrective Action, Customer Complaint, and Supplier Corrective Action Request Management systems, ensuring their efficacy. This includes leading 8D/A3 review sessions that utilize Ishikawa (Cause & Effect), Potential Problem Analysis (PPA), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify, address, and sustain improvements in processes and products.
  • Generate and disseminate performance reports, assist departments in interpreting results, and spearhead initiatives to rectify identified issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and operational excellence.
  • Promote employee engagement, encouraging constructive feedback and proactive participation.
  • Effectively communicate quality objectives and outcomes to all staff members.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning for the quality function, optimizing the use of Warren Oil Company’s resources.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to establish best practices in quality management.
  • Collaborate with other facilities to standardize best practices and minimize non-value-added activities.
  • Regularly validate quality indicators and process best practices implemented in other facilities within the organization (Internal Benchmarking).

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all governmental regulatory requirements.
  • In partnership with the Corporate Quality Manager, lead internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of reports and audit findings.
  • Provide ongoing improvement and training to maintain a competent internal quality audit team.

Process Interface Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into product and process irregularities (Root Cause Analysis) and monitor corrective actions to ensure desired outcomes using the 8D/A3 methodology.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position (Process or Quality Assurance) within a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Certifications:

Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Engineer, and/or Manager
