The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Culinary Team Leader to oversee operations at our culinary department. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Cook who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service and cuisine to patrons.

Compensation

$20.00 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all culinary staff and ensure food preparation and production adhere to quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly.
  • Effectively manage the breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food items.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as required.
  • Work actively to maintain food costs within the parameters established by culinary leadership.
  • Collaborate with team members and restaurant managers to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a line cook, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and attentive to quality.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping various foods and liquids.
  • Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
