About the Role:

The Strategic Broker Relations Manager II provides oversight and relationship management across all identified top broker/consultant firms tied to strategic priorities for Specialty and Stop Loss business. This role acts as a subject matter expert and provides guidance and direction to peer team in alignment with direction from leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and position sales and account management teams for success with broker/consultant firms.
  • Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
  • Documents strategic such as earn trusted partner status and position Elevance as an industry thought leader.
  • Serve as liaison to aligned leadership teams to drive broker/consultant engagement.
  • Built and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
  • Identifies, designs and negotiates broad strategic initiatives in conjunction with matrix partners across Elevance to help achieve growth goals.
  • Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment and provide effective day to day consultative management and issue resolution.
  • Responsible for directing and impacting broker sales and retention results through ongoing initiatives and expands influence and reach of Broker Relations functions.

Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of related experience and a minimum of 3 years strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in a healthcare or health plan setting most notably managing Broker/Consultant relationships strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts towards common goals preferred.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, processes, managing multiple projects/initiatives and identifying improvements strongly preferred.
  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.
  • Proficient of Microsoft Office products, most notably expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $142,380 to $254,250. Elevance Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
