Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator II to support the day-to-day operations of our HR department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork, including employment contracts and benefits enrollment.
  • Review and guide hiring managers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Process employee changes, such as reclassifications and promotions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, providing clear and concise information to employees and management.
  • Compile and maintain reporting required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Assist with I-9 audits to ensure compliance with Department of Homeland Security guidelines.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems, and support the HR Generalists with administrative needs regarding benefits and other HR programs.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of related administrative experience supporting Human Resources, with relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience directly related to federal government contracting is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), iCIMS specifically preferred.
  • Ability to assist candidates with system onboarding.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise information to employees and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet strict timelines.
  • Must be willing to travel and able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
