Regional Market Leader for Institutional Projects in the Southeast

Position Overview:

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. is seeking a Regional Market Leader for Institutional Projects in the Southeast to enhance our institutional services across the Southeast, particularly focusing on the educational and healthcare sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in capital project design and permitting for healthcare and educational institutions, including both higher education and K-12 environments. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in the region is essential.

In this role, you will oversee significant client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, and manage a variety of projects within the healthcare and education sectors. A proven track record in business development, client relationship management, project oversight, and staff mentorship is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and spearhead the development of strategic business plans for the institutional sector.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to define a clear vision and strategy for institutional services in the region.
  • Lead and cultivate a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to institutional projects.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while delivering compelling technical proposals.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the institutional practice within the region.
  • Guide strategic decision-making in collaboration with Regional Market Leadership.
  • Manage essential client relationships and contractual agreements.
  • Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Senior Project Manager for select initiatives.
  • Monitor project milestones and align with business objectives.
  • Engage in external visibility and promotional activities.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven success in delivering institutional campus projects and driving new business growth.
  • Expertise in institutional campus planning and engineering.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to mentor and develop staff effectively.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in institutional campus planning or engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional licensure or certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing teams and providing mentorship.
  • Strong communication and project management capabilities.

This role necessitates a minimum of 50% in-office presence to foster team effectiveness and collaboration.
