Position Overview:

The Human Resources Support Specialist plays a vital role in the HR department, providing assistance across various human resources functions. This position encompasses responsibilities related to payroll, administration, time management, and employee onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure accuracy in payroll adjustments, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Facilitate the timely processing of payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate modifications.
  • Oversee the Time and Labor system to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain organized employment records and process documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership and HR team members to fulfill diverse HR tasks.
  • Communicate essential information to applicants regarding job details, benefits, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate and distribute reminders for employee performance evaluations, ensuring timely completion.
  • Assist in organizing company events and managing employee apparel orders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Travel between locations as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on payroll.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems and payroll processing is advantageous.
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Capable of multitasking and working independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the employee to engage in activities such as typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
