Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator is a part-time role, designed for up to 30 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will maintain a consistent schedule of at least three (3) eight (8)-hour days per week, with the potential for additional hours. This position is responsible for overseeing payroll operations and supporting various administrative HR functions. Key responsibilities include reviewing timecard submissions, executing biweekly payroll processes, and managing payroll-related administrative tasks. The coordinator will address payroll inquiries and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process employee timecards for biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Administer payroll adjustments, including program enrollments and reimbursement tracking.
  • Manage payroll-related tasks such as off-cycle payments, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Prepare manual checks and off-cycle payrolls as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department on payroll audits and budgetary processes.
  • Provide customer service by addressing employee inquiries via email or phone and resolving issues.
  • Handle employment verification requests, both written and verbal.
  • Process employee changes in HRIS software and assist with HRIS administrative duties.
  • Support invoice and billing processes related to HR functions.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and documenting employee training completions.
  • Manage electronic and physical filing systems for employee records.
  • Distribute payroll checks and manage mailings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A two-year associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or a minimum of three years of experience in human resources or payroll administration; or a combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Work Schedule: This part-time position is budgeted for up to 30 hours per week, with the expectation of working at least three (3) eight (8)-hour days per week.

Classification: Non-exempt / hourly
