Job Summary

Peterson Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Support Sales Representative to join our team in Santa Rosa, CA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling company parts and service capabilities in an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified business goals.
  • Plan sales calls itinerary and make sales calls on existing and prospective customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain and nurture new and existing customer relationships through frequent customer contact.
  • Promote and sell parts and company service capabilities; inspect product; prepare and present sales proposal and service estimates.
  • Cooperate and communicate with sales, service and parts personnel; understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers.
  • Ensure that all required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Manage and update customer equipment lists annually.
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of product materials and literature to support promotional efforts.
  • Participate in all available training.
  • Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region.
  • Communicate information to management and others as needed.
  • Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings.
  • Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact business unit.
  • Must be available for customer calls after hours and during weekends in emergency situations.
  • Generate and submit monthly reports as required.
  • Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree from a fully accredited college.
  • A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience, preferably in trucking industry.
  • Good working knowledge of the company product line, the territory it serves and relevant competition.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation

The pay for this position is $48,000 per year. In addition to the base pay, this position also participates in a commission plan.
