Job Overview:

The Financial Grants Administrator oversees the fiscal and research operations within one of the administrative divisions of the School of Public Health. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial management support, which encompasses budgetary planning, financial analysis, research administration, payroll reconciliation, purchasing oversight, account management, and the coordination of effort certification processes. Additionally, this position entails the management and supervision of grants administration personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, accompanied by a minimum of five to seven years of experience in financial management and budgeting, ideally within an academic environment or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in financial oversight, including budget management, reporting, financial modeling, and analysis; familiarity with policy implementation; and research administration, along with a preference for candidates with staff management experience.
  • Required experience in grant accounting.
  • Familiarity with the COEUS database is preferred.
  • Strong accounting skills are essential, including the capability to analyze and reconcile financial accounts.
