Job Overview:

The Financial Grants Administrator oversees the fiscal and research operations within one of the administrative divisions of the institution. This role provides comprehensive financial management assistance, including budget development, financial analysis, research funding administration, payroll reconciliation, procurement oversight, account supervision, and coordination of effort certification processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing and leading the grants administration team.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of five to seven years of experience in financial management and budgeting, ideally within an academic environment or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in financial oversight, encompassing budget management, reporting, financial modeling, and analysis; familiarity with policy execution; and research administration, with a preference for candidates who have experience in team management.
  • Experience in grant accounting is essential.
  • Familiarity with the COEUS database is advantageous.
  • Strong accounting skills are necessary, including the capability to analyze and reconcile financial accounts.

  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize personal and team workloads effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, GSuite, and FileMaker; experience with Workday is a plus.
