The Role

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will play a crucial role in securing accounts within their designated portfolio to drive revenue and profitability growth in alignment with our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this position involves identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships at all levels within both existing and prospective accounts. The manager will act as a liaison between dealers and TrueCar, understanding dealer needs and educating them on TrueCar's offerings as effective solutions. This role necessitates strong collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including dealer performance, operations, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, manage, and finalize new business opportunities within assigned and new accounts, ensuring alignment across functions and the organization.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers at dealerships.
  • Achieve or surpass sales targets within the assigned portfolio. Independently expand the assigned book of business while collaborating with the Dealer Performance team to retain accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, negotiating terms and conditions with dealers.
  • Assist in resolving dealer escalations by coordinating with relevant functional areas, including dealer performance and sales operations, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Serve as the intermediary between dealers, dealer performance managers, and implementation teams regarding product deployment and ongoing management.
  • Collaborate with the dealer training team to stay informed about new or upcoming products and features, ensuring a high level of personal expertise in product knowledge and functionality.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment characterized by strong morale and positive energy focused on achieving sales objectives.
  • Document and track all sales activities within Salesforce, ensuring effective communication with relevant team members.
  • Act as a change agent, leading initiatives and serving as a catalyst for continuous improvement.
  • Support the management of accounts receivable for assigned accounts.
  • Exhibit a high level of attentiveness towards customers, contributing to a culture that promotes high-quality service with urgency.
  • Develop trusting relationships and maintain open communication, welcoming feedback from all levels.
  • Additional responsibilities as determined by business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in retail sales within an automotive dealership context.
  • Experience in digital media advertising.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to listen, influence outcomes, and negotiate effectively.
  • Proven ability to identify, initiate, negotiate, and close business deals.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Capability to formulate, implement, and execute sales strategies in a competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management tools.
  • Experience engaging with clients at various organizational levels and effectively presenting complex technical information.
  • Understanding of client standards and requirements regarding offered products and features.
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to generate interest in new ideas and product opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate client needs and methodologies to internal teams for alignment.
  • Proven ability to represent the company within an assigned portfolio.
  • High integrity, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and a high level of energy.
  • Proficient in utilizing modern office software and quick to learn new applications.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to interpret and present data using a consultative approach.
  • Quick to grasp new concepts with an open mind for change and a willingness to solve problems.
  • Strong understanding of automotive dealerships, including both large dealer groups and family-owned businesses.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight trips, up to 75% of the time.

Compensation:

Base salary plus target incentive: $116,250 - $178,250.
