- Partnership Strategy Development: Provide strategic insights based on comprehensive knowledge of partner objectives and project specifics. Develop expertise in government partners’ strategies, financial drivers, and organizational dynamics.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders within Ginkgo and among government partners.
- Business Development Collaboration: Work closely with the business development team to prioritize partnership initiatives, fostering new alliances that align with research and development strategies.
- Internal Liaison: Act as the primary contact for partnership updates, delivering concise and relevant information to Ginkgo's leadership.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance systems and processes that support customer success.
- Contractual Navigation: Work alongside legal and contracting teams to manage the contractual aspects of partnerships, including negotiations and amendments.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a technical discipline is essential.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in technology development, particularly with government entities in fields such as regenerative medicine and biologics.
- Government Knowledge: Proven experience collaborating with U.S. government agencies, especially HHS and DoD, to manage complex projects and ensure compliance with regulations.
Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and a strategic perspective. Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to motivate cross-functional teams and engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional relationship-building abilities with senior stakeholders, showcasing emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to work independently and adaptively in a complex environment, managing ambiguity and fostering internal alignment.
- Mission Alignment: A strong commitment to advancing Ginkgo's mission to simplify biological engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Education: A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Security Clearance: Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance as necessary.
- Project Management Leadership: Experience leading a Project Management Office (PMO) and familiarity with PMI best practices.
- Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Insight into drug development processes and the life sciences sector.
- Government Contracting Experience: Background in program management for agencies such as HHS and DHA.
Compensation: The total compensation for this position is competitive, with a starting salary of $113,000+, complemented by stock awards. The base salary is determined by the candidate's skills and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, health spending accounts, and a 401(k) program with employer contributions.
