About the Role

As the Director of Partnership Accounting, you will play a critical role in overseeing the investment accounting processes. Leading a team of professionals, you will ensure the accurate execution of accounting tasks related to various investment products and subsidiaries. Your contributions will be instrumental in upholding financial reporting standards and enhancing financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely completion of accounting close cycles for complex investments
  • Develop internal control frameworks for accurate financial reporting
  • Lead initiatives to drive efficiency and value
  • Analyze trends and collaborate on financial commentary
  • Review and complete partnership footnotes and schedules
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders
  • Implement new accounting requirements and processes for investments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance
  • 8+ years of experience in Alternative Investment Accounting
  • Experience leading deliverable-oriented teams
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance company investment accounting
  • Team management experience
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma
  • Ability to influence process improvements
  • Proficiency in ERP tools and investment data analysis
