Production Supervisor - Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor - Operations Manager to join our team at Entegris. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and leading a team of operators to achieve departmental production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Oversight: Ensure safe work practices and work closely with the EHS team to train and elevate a culture of safety within the team.
  • Team Leadership: Provide staff training, guidance, and motivation to ensure effective performance. Address issues with staff with supportive documentation and adhere to Company policies, procedures, and applicable budget requirements.
  • Corrective Actions: Conduct timely corrective actions and employee performance reviews.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations as well as with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure operations are one cohesive unit.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure expected output of quality products is achieved. Assist in investigating and evaluating quality defects as assigned and in determining appropriate actions to be taken.
  • Lean/Sigma Manufacturing: Promote the use of Lean/Sigma Manufacturing concepts, including SPC, Kanban materials management, and 6s.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production hour-by-hour performance and escalate issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and monitor continuous quality improvement activities, including waste and cost reduction, equipment, and tool efficiencies.
  • Team Direction: Provide daily work direction to team members and act as the first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise on shift.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge: A functional understanding of the specific production module and a good understanding of all other modules within production.
  • Skills: Good organizational and planning skills, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the workforce, work environment, and customer needs.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Leadership: Previous experience leading a team and driving employee development, accountability, and engagement.
