Position: Field Sales Consultant

Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM


Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, this role involves marketing office supplies to various organizations within the local business community and beyond. The responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with end-user accounts to promote office supplies
  • Contacting existing and potential clients to present products and special offers
  • Preparing pricing proposals and developing buyer incentives
  • Conducting direct sales of office supplies
  • Utilizing diverse marketing strategies and media for sales initiatives
  • Delivering products to clients when necessary
  • Following up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and provide outstanding service
  • Presenting to business and community groups about the company’s offerings
  • Participating in conferences, meetings, and training sessions as required
  • Maintaining customer files and documentation of all sales activities
  • Coordinating details related to sales and customer interactions
  • Providing backup support in the call center
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills in relevant applications
  • A willingness to learn new software for sales tracking and CRM functions
  • A passion for sales and assisting clients

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Considerable knowledge of:

  • Direct selling techniques and customer service practices
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Utilizing advertising and customer incentives to boost sales
  • Recordkeeping and file management

Working knowledge of:

  • Standard office practices and procedures
  • Business English, spelling, and mathematics

Skills in:

  • Using multimedia to convey information about products to a diverse audience
  • Data entry and computer usage
  • Self-motivation and records management

Ability to:

  • Establish positive business relationships with potential clients
  • Meet deadlines and maintain workflow
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms
  • Manage sales territories efficiently
  • Organize time effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of three years of experience in direct sales, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the duties of this position. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Candidates must reside in the area and have access to a vehicle.
