Job Overview:

The Commercial Parts Consultant is responsible for providing exceptional service by selling vehicle and equipment components to customers at the front counter or via telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with external and account customers to sell parts, whether at the counter, in the shop, or over the phone.
  • Utilize SAP to ensure all parts transactions are processed promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date repair orders in Service Link.
  • Initiate retail orders through Parts Link as applicable.
  • Document all sales in accordance with company policies, including obtaining necessary signatures and verifying payment information.
  • Process returns for parts, ensuring the original invoice or its number is available for verification.
  • Manage core returns following established procedures.
  • Handle customer and vendor returns in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Keep organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
  • Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Conduct outreach to assigned accounts via phone.
  • Participate in dealership customer satisfaction initiatives and marketing efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of six months of experience in over-the-counter sales, ideally within a dealership or service environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting and inventory management software.
