At PharMerica, we are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities
  • Triage, interpret, and input orders into our computerized medication order system, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical calculations, to ensure accurate medication dispensing.
  • Resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS).
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
  • Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, adhering to company values.
  • Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy-related experience.
  • Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs.
  • Detail-oriented; goal-oriented, team player, customer service, oral communication.
