Position Overview:
The Specialty Pharmacy Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient care and overseeing pharmacy operations at AndHealth. This full-time position is essential for ensuring that specialty pharmacy services are delivered with excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the lead clinical expert within the specialty pharmacy.
2. Provide clinical direction and oversee decision-making processes related to the specialty pharmacy program.
3. Ensure quality management by leading the pharmacy's Quality Management Committee and overseeing related initiatives.
4. Implement and monitor Quality Improvement Projects across pharmacy locations.
5. Deliver outstanding patient care and collaborate effectively with health center providers.
6. Offer clinical pharmacy services as part of the Patient Management Program.
7. Provide therapeutic recommendations and counseling for patients with chronic conditions, including but not limited to asthma, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS.
8. Stay updated with clinical guidelines and literature to manage specialty care effectively.
9. Review patient therapies for duplications, interactions, and allergies, recommending alternatives as necessary.
10. Supervise Engagement Specialists to ensure continuous medication access for patients.
11. Oversee Specialty Pharmacists, ensuring they receive appropriate training and resources.
12. Manage prior authorizations and appeals with payors as needed.
13. Maintain documentation in specialty pharmacy software to uphold accreditation standards.
14. Participate in accreditation preparation and site visits.
15. Mentor pharmacy interns and students.

Qualifications:
- PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP) required.
- Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.

Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy.
- BLS/CPR certification required (or must be obtained within one month of hire).
- Preferred experience includes immunization delivery certification and specialty pharmacy.
- PGY1 residency or equivalent experience is preferred.
- CSP credential is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new systems.
- Some travel may be required.

Health Requirements:
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
- Documentation of immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Influenza.
- COVID vaccination required.
