Clinical Nurse Specialist

Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse will report directly to the Director of Medical/Surgical Services. This role encompasses a wide range of professional responsibilities aligned with the nursing scope of practice and established professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The staff RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency in their professional role, including the ability to lead and utilize the scope of practice effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of patient needs using a population-based approach.
- Floating to various departments such as Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, ICU, Emergency, and others as required.
- Maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid CA State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current certification in CPR from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of the basic arrhythmia recognition exam.
- PALS certification preferred upon hire, required within two months.
- MAB or CPI certification required within one month of hire.
- NIHSS certificate preferred upon hire, required within one month.
- A minimum of three years of acute-care RN experience, including at least one recent year in Emergency or ICU settings.
