Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, executing professional nursing duties in alignment with established practice standards and regulatory guidelines. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices and the ability to lead and guide other nursing staff, including Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs using a population-based approach.
- Evaluate personal performance and stay updated with current nursing theories and practices.
- Ensure compliance with all job and physical requirements as specified in the role.
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a valid CA State Registered Nurse license.
2. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
3. ACLS certification is preferred upon hiring; required within 90 days for experienced RNs and within 6 months for new graduate RNs.
4. PALS certification is preferred upon hiring; required within 90 days for experienced RNs and within 6 months for new graduate RNs.
5. NIHSS certification is required for current employees and must be obtained within 6 months for new hires.
6. Recent nursing practice experience (within the last 4 years) or completion of nursing refresher courses is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience is required.
Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $44.38 to $72.40, starting at $44.38.
