Role Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in refining the financial operations in collaboration with the CEO. As the organization expands, the CFO will be responsible for developing a robust finance team that supports our strategic objectives. This position will encompass leadership in financial strategy, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, and the integration of mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain a high-performing finance function.
  • Establish and optimize essential finance operations, including recruitment of top finance talent.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline financial management and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead a team of high-caliber finance professionals.
  • Oversee financial performance and reporting for Alpine-X and our partner firms.
  • Manage third-party financial processes and audits, ensuring strong internal controls.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide business discussions and decisions.
  • Develop automated dashboards for real-time KPI tracking to enhance performance optimization.
  • Direct the budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on accuracy and strategic decision-making.
  • Implement disciplined cost management strategies to identify and capture savings.
  • Oversee liquidity and cash management, including cash flow forecasting and accounts receivable/payable processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives to foster growth.
  • Support M&A activities and ensure effective financial integration of acquired entities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate negotiations for debt capital to support our investment strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a proven track record as a CFO in a private equity-backed environment.
  • Experience in public accounting or consulting is advantageous.
  • Strong FP&A expertise and understanding of working capital management.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience in managing financial integrations within tight timelines.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships with lenders and manage debt covenants.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent development.
