Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Medical Office Representative to enhance our patient care and customer service experience.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for flexible hours.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Office Representative:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, with a focus on understanding patient demographics.
  • Conducting insurance verifications.
  • Managing prior authorizations and referrals.
  • Collecting patient payments, including deductibles and co-pays, and ensuring accurate cash drawer reconciliation.
  • Handling incoming calls and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Confirming and updating insurance information.
  • Performing data entry tasks.
  • Coordinating appointment scheduling.
  • Utilizing fax machines and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Being available to work at various Aspire locations as required, participating in a rotation across multiple offices.

Qualifications for the Medical Office Representative:

  • Associate's degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare administration role is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, and web browsers.
  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 coding.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute; a typing assessment will be conducted.
  • COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations are mandatory.
  • Strong command of English spelling and grammar.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to apply skills across various areas of medical practice.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
